UConn Football to hire Sacramento State's Zach Potter as General Manager
UConn Football is set to hire Sacramento State‘s Zach Potter as the program’s new General Manager, per multiple reports. The 24-year old spent this past season as the General Manager for the Hornets football program.

The 24-year old spent this past season as the General Manager for Sacramento State Football. The Hornets completely rebuilt their program going from 3-9 to 7-5 over the course of one offseason, as they brought in quite the portal haul headlined by former Top 100 quarterback recruit Jaden Rashada and several others.
Prior to that, Potter spent a lot of time in the USFL / UFL, where he was the General Manager for the Birmingham Stallions from 2022 to 2024, where the franchise won three titles in a row. He was also the Director of Player Personnel in 2022.
Along with that, Potter also a good chunk of time working in the recruiting department for Iowa Western Community College, which is one the top talent producing junior college programs in the country. He also spent time at his alma mater Nebraska for a season as a video assistant.
