Western Kentucky All-American OL Laurence Seymore signs with Texas
Western Kentucky OL Laurence Seymore has signed with Texas, his rep Derek Lora at 3 Strand Sports tell Inside Texas. Seymore was a second-team All-America selection in 2025 according to the FWAA and was a second-team All-Conference USA selection as well.

It’s not 100 percent clear if Seymore has eligibility for the 2026 season. However, Lora tells IT he will be working with the UT compliance department to gain an extra year, but he is optimistic his case will be approved. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Seymore has an extension of eligibility waiver in progress.
Seymore will finish his degree at WKU before enrolling at Texas.
Seymore, the Hilltoppers’ starting left guard in 2025 after three years at Miami and Akron, entered the transfer portal earlier in January. He logged 840 snaps, all at left guard, this past season. He had an overall offensive grade of 69.4, a run blocking grade of 63.9, and a strong pass-blocking grade of 82.6. He was charged with eight pressures and allowed one sack in 2025.
In 2024 with Akron, he logged 210 snaps and a 74.4 offensive grade according to Pro Football Focus. His pass blocking grade was 78.9 and his run blocking grade was 72.9.

Seymore played in two games in 2021 as a true freshman at Miami then six games in 2022 as a redshirt freshman. He did not play in 2023 at Akron, then played in seven games with the Zips in 2024. In 2025, he logged 13 games for the Hilltopers and was listed by WKU as a redshirt senior.
Seymore is ranked as the No. 843 player and the No. 78 interior offensive lineman in the transfer portal according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He joins Dylan Sikorski, Melvin Siani, and Jonte Newman as O-linemen in Texas’ transfer portal class.
