The only former Longhorn on the Patriots is Brenden Schooler. A special teams ace for the Patriots, Schooler was a first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler in 2024 as a special teamer. This season, he has 19 tackles with 11 of them solo. He is on New England’s kick return, kick coverage, punt return, punt coverage, and field goal block teams. At Texas, Schooler had 52 total tackles with 1.5 for loss and 0.5 sacks. He also logged 12 catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

Seattle has three Longhorns set to take part in the Super Bowl in active roster members Michael Dickson and Byron Murphy plus practice squad member Quandre Diggs.

Dickson was a second-team All-Pro selection at punter in 2025. He punted 52 times for an average of 49.0 yards per kick. He only had three touchbacks compared to 20 punts that were downed inside the 20. He has been one of the best punters in the league since he was the best punter in the country at Texas in 2017. That season, he won the Ray Guy Award and was named MVP of the Texas Bowl.

Murphy started all 17 regular season games at defensive tackle for the Seahawks in 2025. He logged 62 total tackles, with 22 of them solo, along with 7 TFL. At Texas, his stellar 2023 season alongside T’Vondre Sweat saw him log 29 tackles with 8.5 for loss and 5.0 sacks. He also had one rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in 2023. Murphy was the 16th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Diggs is now in his 11th year in the league and is on the Seahawks’ practice squad. He appeared in one game during the 2025 season with Seattle and is making his first appearance in the Super Bowl. Diggs is a three-time Pro Bowler. At Texas from 2011 to 2014, Diggs tallied 218 career tackles, 14.0 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, 27 passes defended, one fumble recovery, and three forced fumbles.

Super Bowl LX is scheduled to kick off at 5:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, February 8. NBC will telecast the contest.
