Michigan State signs 2026 Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More WR Colin Charles
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State signed 2026 Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More wide receiver Colin Charles on Wednesday.
Charles (6-1, 190) will join the Spartans as a walk-on. His first visit to East Lansing this year came in June, when he attended a Spartan development camp. He returned to campus in October, and received an offer shortly after that trip. Charles committed to Michigan State on Oct. 31.
He remained committed despite the coaching change from Jonathan Smith to Pat Fitzgerald.
A Michigan native, Charles had taken several visits to East Lansing prior to his trip this summer. He began his high school career as a 2025 recruit at Northville (Mich.) High School, but reclassified to 2026 and transferred to St. Thomas More in April.

Michigan State wide receiver Alante Brown followed a similar path. Originally a 2019 recruit out of Chicago (Ill.) Simeon, Brown reclassified to 2020 and transferred to St. Thomas More for a post-graduate year.
Michigan State also signed three-stars Zachary Washington and Raishawn Elmore at the position. Four-star wide receiver commit Samson Gash has opted to sign in February.
