Michigan State signs 2026 Hartland (Mich.) LB Jack Lansing III
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State signed 2026 Hartland (Mich.) High School linebacker Jack Lansing III on Wednesday.
Lansing (6-0, 205) will join the Spartans as a walk-on. Lansing received his Spartan offer during a spring practice visit in April. Less than one month later, he committed to the Spartans. Lansing took an official visit to East Lansing on May 22.

Lansing has visited Michigan State several times over the past two years, for games and camps alike. He also held a preferred walk-on offer from Pittsburgh.
Lansing played linebacker, safety and wide receiver in high school. He’s the second preferred walk-on to sign with the Spartans on Wednesday, joining wide receiver Colin Charles.
Michigan State has also signed three-star Adam Shaw at the linebacker position.
