Michigan State signs 2026 four-star Gilbert (Ariz.) Williams Field OT Collin Campbell
Michigan State received a big signature on Friday, the last day of the early signing period, from four-star offensive tackle Collin Campbell, of Gilbert (Ariz.) Williams Field High School.
Campbell (6-7, 300) has been committed to Michigan State since mid-June. He chose Michigan State over offers from Washington, Utah, Texas A&M, Auburn and Wisconsin, among others.
Campbell did not sign with Michigan State on Wednesday, but decided to send in his signature before the early signing period closes.
“First of all, I would like to thank Coach Smith and Coach Michalczik for introducing me to Michigan State and giving me the opportunity to be here,” Campbell wrote in a statement released to social media. “You guy are some of the great coaches, men, and leaders in today’s college game. If it weren’t for you, I would have never known about the passion of Michigan State fans, the community, and the only green double-decker McDonalds in America.

“After having a couple conversations with Coach Fitzgerald, I can see and feel what the culture of the program is going to be. I am very confident in the type of offensive scheme and philosophy that he plans on implementing. I am lucky and excited to be a Spartan. East Lansing is a special place.”
Campbell is the No. 62 recruit in the 2026 class, per the Rivals Rankings. He’s also the No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 1 player from Arizona in his class.
SCOUTING REPORT
At 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Campbell is a prototypical college offensive tackle prospect. He’s athletic for his frame, with long arms and a strong base. He’s one of the more college-ready offensive line prospects Michigan State has signed in recent memory. Campbell is also the son of a high school coach, Steve Campbell, making him well-coached in his pre-college career.
