Four-star catcher Riley Hilliard commits to Oklahoma
The Oklahoma 2027 recruiting class is taking shape with another addition from the OC Batbusters organization, a well-known pipeline for the Sooners. Four-star catcher and Softball America’s No. 11 recruit Riley Hilliard announced her commitment to Oklahoma on Thursday.
Hilliard is a power-hitting catcher who has proven to be able to swing a big bat in big moments. She has solid fundamentals behind the dish, can receive and block well. The La Mirada High School product will provide explosive RBI production, one of the best catchers among a very talented group in the class.

Hilliard joins five-star Goose Hutchens as Oklahoma’s 2027 class. While both are primarily catchers, Hilliard is also an option at first base and Hutchens played a good amount of third base with her Iowa Premier team during the summer.
The Sooners are expected to have another big round of visitors this upcoming weekend, which could entail more ‘Go Boomer!’ tweets from Patty Gasso.
