2026 Rutgers Basketball Transfer Portal Tracker

Richie O'Leary, The Knight Reportby: Richard O'Leary05/10/26On3Richie

The transfer portal season is here and there’s a lot of movement expected now that there is only one portal window. College basketball programs across the nation are expected to once again be big spenders this offseason, so you can expect a good amount of guys to enter the Transfer Portal once again.

To make things easier for you, we here at The Knight Report have decided to make this the one stop shop for everything Rutgers Scarlet Knights Basketball and the transfer portal this offseason.

Below you can see which players have entered the portal, who’s committed to the Scarlet Knights via the portal and which prospects that the staff has offered so far.

When does the Transfer Portal actually open?

The Transfer Portal will open at the end of the 2025-26 season, immediately following the conclusion of the national title game. The window will only be 15 days long and is set to open on April 7th and will remain that way until April 21st.

While players currently can’t enter the portal officially, their agents / advisors can begin to talk with programs behind the scenes to start garnering interest and work on visits as their seasons come to an end. It is important to mention, that none of these players listed above have officially entered the transfer portal yet, nor is it confirmation that they will.

What positions will Rutgers target?

  • POINT GUARD
  • WING
  • POWER FORWARD
  • CENTERS

This may seem like a lot of players to add via the Transfer Portal, as the Scarlet Knights only added three portal additions last offseason, but this year Rutgers has some more money to work with and it’s important for Head Coach Steve Pikiell to put together the right squad as his seat starts to get a little warm.

Take the above numbers lightly, because they could change quite a bit depending on if they are able to keep some of their own in the scarlet and white. For example, if Lino Mark, Tariq Francis, Kaden Powers all stay, the staff would likely only going to add one guard. The same could be said for center if Emmanuel Ogbole gets his waiver and opts to stay. These are also not official numbers from the program, but rather very educated guesses based off of what we know and what we’ve heard.

Now along with all that, The Knight Report’s very own Ryan DeAgazio put together a list of potential targets with ties to the coaching staff or the area that Rutgers Basketball could target at several key positions.
