Texas Tech’s recruiting surge isn’t just passing the eye test anymore – it’s showing up in black and white. When Rivals released its updated Rivals300 rankings for the class of 2026, eight Red Raider signees earned spots on the list, a clear indicator of how consistently Tech is winning high-level battles on the trail. The number not only underscores the staff’s talent evaluation and closing ability, but also reflects a program building real momentum on the national recruiting stage.

Here are the eight Red Raiders who made the final Rivals300 for the 2026 class.

No. 58 overall, LaDamion Guyton, EDGE

Previous ranking: 95 grade, No. 58 nationally, No. 11 EDGE, No. 4 in Georgia

Updated ranking: 96 grade, No. 58 nationally, No. 11 EDGE, No. 3 in Georgia

Guyton, the edge rusher out of Savannah, Georgia, is Texas Tech’s highest-rated signee following the rankings update. Guyton was initially the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2027 class before reclassifying into 2026. He is expected to arrive in Lubbock and join the team in June.

No. 63 overall, Chase Campbell, WR

Previous ranking: 95 grade, No. 63 nationally, No. 9 wide receiver, No. 9 in Texas

Updated ranking: 96 grade, No. 63 nationally, No. 12 wide receiver, No. 7 in Texas

Campbell, a wideout out of nearby Frenship HS in Wolfforth, Texas, is Texas Tech’s second highest-rated signee following the rankings update. He is already enrolled and with the team, though his status for spring football is not known as he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury as a senior.

No. 142 overall, Felix Ojo, OT

Previous ranking: 95 grade, No. 48 nationally, No. 8 offensive tackle, No. 5 in Texas

Updated ranking: 94 grade, No. 142 nationally, No. 16 offensive tackle, No. 19 in Texas

Ojo, an offensive tackle from Mansfield Lake Ridge, was initially a five-star prospect who has seen his ranking decrease over the last several months. The latest update was the biggest drop for Ojo yet, taking him from inside the top 50 prospects nationally to just inside the top 150. He is already enrolled and with the team.

No. 143 overall, S’Vioarean Martin, CB

Previous ranking: 90 grade, No. 295 nationally, No. 32 cornerback, No. 42 in Texas

Updated ranking: 94 grade, No. 143 nationally, No. 19 cornerback, No. 20 in Texas

Martin, a cornerback from Palestine, Texas, makes a huge jump in the final Rivals300 following his performance at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio earlier this month. Martin is now Texas Tech’s fourth highest-rated signee with a grade of 94. He is already enrolled and with the team.

No. 225 overall, Matt Ludwig, TE

Previous ranking: 91 grade, No. 199 nationally, No. 10 tight end, No. 1 in Montana

Updated ranking: 92 grade, No. 225 nationally, No. 12 tight end, No. 1 in Montana

The tight end Ludwig, formerly a Michigan signee, drops a few spots in the national and tight end rankings in the final Rivals300. He is still the top-rated player out of Montana in the 2026 class and is Texas Tech’s fifth highest-rated signee overall. He is already enrolled and with the team, where he will join a tight ends room led by Terrance Carter Jr and Nevada transfer Jett Carpenter.

No. 275 overall, Bryce Gilmore, OT

Previous ranking: 91 grade, No. 215 nationally, No. 23 offensive tackle, No. 28 in Texas

Updated ranking: 91 grade, No. 275 nationally, No. 27 offensive tackle, No. 36 in Texas

Gilmore, the versatile offensive line prospect out of Prosper, drops in the national, offensive tackle and in-state rankings in the final Rivals300. Gilmore, who is already enrolled and with the team, joins fellow Prosper Eagles Connor Carty and Ellis Davis in the offensive line room at Texas Tech.

No. 279 overall, Ace Rowden, RB

Previous ranking: 91 grade, No. 222 nationally, No. 17 running back, No. 29 in Texas

Updated ranking: 91 grade, No. 279 nationally, No. 21 running back, No. 39 in Texas

Rowden, a powerfully built 5-foot-10, 210 pound running back out of New Boston in East Texas, stays with the same 91 grade but drops in the national, running back and state rankings in the final Rivals300. He is already enrolled and with the team, and joins a stacked running back room led by Cameron Dickey, J’Koby Williams and Quinten Joyner at Texas Tech.

No. 297 overall, Kaegan Ash, LB

Previous ranking: 87 grade, unranked nationally, No. 100 linebacker, No. 160 in Texas

Updated ranking: 91 grade, No. 297 nationally, No. 21 linebacker, No. 42 in Texas

Ash, an athletic linebacker out of Mount Enterprise in East Texas, makes a massive jump in the final Rivals300 rankings. One of the most productive players in the country this season, Ash leaps into the top 300 nationally, is just outside of the top 20 linebackers and checks in as the 42nd best player in Texas. He is expected to arrive in Lubbock and join the team in June.
