Bailey Maupin Earns WBCA All-America Honors, Set for College All-Star Game
Bailey Maupin’s legacy had another line added to it on Thursday when it was announced she earned WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America Honorable Mention recognition.
It marks the first All-American accolade of Maupin’s career and comes after helping lead Texas Tech to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013 and its first tournament win since 2005.
Maupin led the Lady Raiders in scoring at 15.2 points per game while also pacing the team in free throws made (129), three-pointers (69), double-figure scoring games (29) and 20-point performances (6). She finished second on the team in assists (89) and third in steals (53.) All of which earned her All-Big 12 First Team honors as a unanimous selection, it was her first first-team selection after previously earning Honorable Mention all-conference the past two seasons.

The Gruver native recorded her second straight 500-point season with 518 total points and ranked among the nation’s top players in both free throws made and free throw percentage (84.3). A four-year Lady Raider, Maupin finished her career ranked fourth in program history in scoring (1,825 points) along with multiple top-10 marks across the record book.
Maupin will also compete in the Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT in Phoenix, Arizona. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2, with team scrimmages scheduled for Friday and streamed on YouTube.
