Arkansas basketball signees on midseason Player of the Year watch lists
Arkansas Razorbacks basketball 2026 signees Abdou Toure and JJ Andrews have earned midseason national recognition for their efforts on the court.
Each have been selected as two of 25 players to watch for both the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Boys’ High School Player of the Year Midseason Team, as well as the MaxPreps National Player of the Year list.
Andrews, from Little Rock Christian, recently returned to the court after recovering from an injury sustained in early December. The 6-foot-6 wing is Arkansas’ consensus No. 1 player and 16th nationally per the Rivals Industry Ranking. He is averaging a double-double, 34 points and 16.8 rebounds, plus 3.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
The 6-foot-5 Toure signed with the Razorbacks by way of Notre Dame (Conn.) High and is rated as the 29th overall player in his class and consensus top prospect in Connecticut. He put on a show recently at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield (Mass.), averaging 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.8 steals in the tournament while shooting 79.5% from the field and 51.6 from three-point range.
Arkansas’ 2026 class currently ranked third nationally and first in the SEC.
