Should college programs even want the No. 1 high school recruiting class?

Many college football fans are slow to adapt to the new realities of college football and recruiting. I saw a tweet yesterday saying Mike Elko is the best recruiter in Texas, hands down. That person is living in the We Run This State Kevin Sumlin era. I frequently see comments on IT that belong on threads from 2019.
