South Carolina women's basketball commitment named to National Player of the Year midseason team

Class of 2026 South Carolina women’s basketball commitment Jerzy Robinson is one of the best high school players in the country. On Wednesday, the future Gamecock landed a spot on the Naismith Trophy Girls High School Player of the Year Midseason Team. Essentially serving as a watch list of this year’s National Player of the Year award, the Naismith Midseason Team includes 24 of the best high school seniors and juniors and one sophomore.

Also joining Robinson on the list are Jacy Abii, Jezelle Banks, Gigi Battle, Addison Bjorn, Brihanna Crittendon, Oliviyah Edwards, Autumn Fleary, Maddyn Greenway, Tatianna Griffin, Saniyah Hall, Kate Harpring, Trinity Jones, Ashlyn Koupal, Eve Long, Jordyn Palmer, Qandace Samuels, Sydney Savoury, Kaleena Smith, Aaliah Spaight, Savvy Swords, Olivia Vukosa, Lilly Williams, Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka, and McKenna Woliczko.

Banks, Long, Griffin, Palmer, Robinson, Savoury, Smith, and Wilson-Manyacka are among the underclassmen on the list who boast Carolina offers.

The versatile 6-1 five-star is a standout for Sierra Canyon, one of the top programs in the Los Angeles area. She plays multiple positions for Sierra Canyon and is one of the most physically impressive athletes in the 2026 cycle.

Naturally, Robinson is lighting up the box score nightly. With Gamecock head coach Dawn Staley in attendance recently, she dropped 33 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and three steals. She is regarded as one of the top scorers and most aggressive players in the class.

According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Robinson ranks as the No. 3 overall player in the class of 2026. Listed as a combo guard, she is also second among players with that positional designation. She ranks as the No. 1 player in a loaded class in California, regardless of position.

South Carolina has three total commitments in the class of 2026, with Robinson ranked highest. Four-star post player Kelsi Andrews and four-star wing/forward Kaeli Wynn are also top-20 national prospects. International prospect Alicia Tournebize would have been a five-star in the ’26 cycle had she been ranked, but she enrolled early at USC and has started seeing action for the Gamecocks.
