South Carolina offers three-star Pennsylvania defensive back
Just over a week ago, South Carolina picked up Penn State running back Jabree Coleman out of the transfer portal, a graduate from Imhotep Charter High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On Wednesday, the Gamecocks offered a current athlete at Coleman’s alma mater, 2028 defensive back Kaleb Woseley.
First-year USC defensive ends/outside linebackers coach Deion Barnes extended the offer to Woseley for the second time—his first being in 2024, when Barnes was the defensive line coach at Penn State University. Kaleb is the second Woseley to be offered from Barnes; his older brother Kenny originally signed with the Nittany Lions in the 2024 recruiting class and will play next season at Virginia Tech under head coach James Franklin.
South Carolina is the seventh offer for the 6-foot, 160-pound rising talent. His lockdown defense earned a 6A all-state selection and aided Imhotep in making an appearance in the District 12 Class 6A Championship, where they fell 31-16 to La Salle College High School.

The number one Pennsylvania defensive back in the class of 2028 also holds offers from West Virginia, Duke, Temple, Florida State, Maryland, and Penn State. Virginia Tech is a team on the radar, as well, as the oldest of the Woseley brothers recently committed to play for Coach Franklin earlier this month.

As a player, Woseley is a corner comfortable with being out on an island. He plays very disciplined and has a natural gift for knowing the exact time to turn his body to make a play on the ball, no matter how far downfield he is. That is an extremely impressive attribute for such a young player.
Though a little undersized, he is not afraid to get physical. On film, the second-year stud won multiple hand fights (without drawing flags) versus top talent this season, including against five-star Joey O’Brien and against four-stars Elias Coke and Cade Cooper. The complete combination of physicality, quickness, and awareness makes Woseley an exciting player to watch.
According to the Rivalry Industry Rankings, Woseley checks in as the class of 2028’s No. 245 overall prospect. The sophomore is also considered the No. 22 corner in the country for his class. He is the No. 3 overall player, regardless of position, in the state of Pennsylvania. He is a consensus 3-star prospect.
