South Carolina commit Braydon Lee flips to Maryland

Long-time South Carolina cornerback commit Braydon Lee has flipped his pledge on National Signing Day to Maryland and will sign with the Terrapins.

The Springdale (Md.) Flowers three-star cornerback committed to South Carolina in April but Maryland continued its pursuit in the months following his pledge.

Lee took an official visit to Maryland a couple of weeks ago and rumors have swirled that a flip could be in order. GamecockCentral reported to its subscribers on Wednesday morning that a flip was likely.

He is rated by the On3 Industry Ranking as a three-star prospect. Lee is additionally ranked as the 411th-best prospect in the 2024 class and the 37th-best CB prospect nationally.

Lee is the 13th-best prospect in the state of Maryland.
