Earlier this month, South Carolina football officially signed four-star twin defenders Aiden Harris and Andrew Harris. The Weddington, North Carolina products both hold four-star ratings. They are part of a Gamecock signing class currently ranked 15th in all of college football.

Aiden, a 6-3, 275-pound defensive lineman, and Andrew, a 6-2, 235-pound high school EDGE who will play linebacker at USC, recently received some recognition among their peers in the recruiting hotbed that is the Tar Heel State.

According to Prep Redzone’s Will Helms, who is also GamecockCentral.com’s “analytics guy,” the duo is among the best players in the entire state, regardless of class. In his “Top 50 of 2025,” Helms ranked Andrew Harris as No. 21 in the state and Aiden Harris at No. 13.

According to Helms, his rankings came based on one main criterion: “When people think back to the 2025 season, which players come to mind? In other words, who told the story of the 2025 season?”

In North Carolina, it is impossible to tell the story of the season without talking about the Harris brothers.

On the year, Aiden Harris tallied 11 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss, according to his MaxPreps profile. He was a disruptive force at multiple spots on the Weddington defensive line. MaxPreps also lists Andrew Harris as having logged 22.5 tackles for loss in his hybrid linebacker/EDGE role.

The brothers helped guide Weddington to a 13-1 record and the 7A West Regional Final in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Playoffs.

Recognizable recruiting names like Samari Matthews (four-star corner) and Faizon Brandon (five-star quarterback) finished below the Harrises in Helms’ ranking.

The top-21 state rankings mirror the Harris brothers’ spots in the class of 2026 Rivals Industry Rankings.

Aiden Harris is the No. 93 overall prospect in the industry ranking. He is No. 9 nationally among defensive linemen and No. 7, regardless of position, in North Carolina.

Andrew Harris is No. 384 overall in the Rivals Industry Ranking. He is also No. 36 nationally among EDGE players (and would be No. 25 linebacker). He is No. 18 in the state of North Carolina, regardless of position.
