South Carolina extends offer to 2028 North Carolina quarterback
South Carolina has been in on class of 2028 Lake Norman (NC) Mooresville quarterback Kaden Craft for quite a while. The Charlotte-area native and high school sophomore has been on campus in Columbia multiple times in the last year.
The offer brings Craft’s power conference total to seven. USC joins Virginia Tech, Florida State, Auburn, North Carolina, Duke, and NC State in that regard. Several other programs, including Notre Dame, Georgia, Tennessee, Penn State, Florida, LSU, and Ohio State, have also hosted him for visits. Ironically, former Carolina offensive coordinators Kurt Roper and Mike Bobo are his primary recruiters at NC State and Georgia, respectively.
The Insiders Forum: Discuss South Carolina football!
Craft, who stands 6-4 and weighs in at 205 pounds, is one of the top quarterbacks in the ’28 cycle. He is an impressive thrower of the football who can uncork the deep ball, throw off-platform, and hit receivers in-stride on shorter routes. He is also a good and fearless athlete who can attack defenses with his legs or use his mobility to open up more plays through the air.

Craft is a basketball player and track athlete, and those sports show up on his football film. His tape shows his ability to secure the ball in traffic, and his speed is evident in the open field. He is not an elite runner, but he is a true dual-threat and tough-nosed ballcarrier.
According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Craft is the No. 118 overall prospect in the class of 2028. He is also No. 7 nationally among all quarterbacks. In the state of North Carolina, he ranks 7th, regardless of position.
