Former South Carolina Gamecock earns NFL Pro Bowl nod
Former South Carolina Gamecocks standout Jaycee Horn is going to the Pro Bowl. For the second season in a row, the 2021 No. 8 overall pick has earned a spot in the NFL’s all-star showcase.
Horn, who was the leading NFC vote-getter at cornerback, will start the game. Horn and his NFC team will be coached by Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.
During the 2025 season, Horn has set a new career-high number for interceptions. His five picks tie him for second in the NFL this year and have helped South Carolina rank first among all college programs in NFL interceptions this fall.
Adding to his interceptions, Horn also has logged 35 tackles and eight passes defended this season. He has given up just a 46.6% completion rate, a top-five number in the NFL.
Former Gamecock teammate Ernest Jones, who also has five interceptions and over 100 tackles for the Seattle Seahawks, is one of the Pro Bowl’s biggest snubs.

The Insiders Forum: Discuss South Carolina football!
Horn and his Carolina Panthers are in first place in the NFC South. A divisional crown could come down to the season finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
First, though, the Panthers will face off against the Seattle Seahawks in Charlotte. Sunday’s contest will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will air on CBS.
During his South Carolina football career, Horn was one of the best coverage men ever to don the Block C on his helmet. Horn rarely had balls thrown his way and routinely shut down his side of the field in the passing game. His exceptional performances in garnet and black earned him All-SEC accolades and helped make him the eighth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Horn is USC’s most recent top-10 pick and the seventh in program history.
