Despite the consistent rumors manufactured by other fanbases and LSU coach Lane Kiffin hiring away his position coach, All-SEC EDGE Dylan Stewart is set to finish his career with South Carolina with another year in the Garnet and Black.

Stewart has signed a new rev share/NIL agreement with the school and announced his return on Instagram Tuesday.

Stewart, a gamewrecker off the edge from the moment he arrived in town, is a projected Top 10 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

In his two seasons with South Carolina, Stewart has played in 24 career games, starting 22, with 56 total tackles, including 22.5 tackles-for-loss and 11 sacks. The Washington, D.C. native also has six forced fumbles.

PFF credits the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder with 88 total quarterback pressures during his two seasons in Columbia.

A former five-star prospect according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Stewart was ranked the No. 17 overall prospect and No. 3 EDGE in the 2024 class.

On3 ranked the Friendship Collegiate standout and Under Armour All-American the No. 12 overall prospect in his class.

Stewart’s announcement comes on the heels of Gamecocks quarterback LaNorris Sellers also announcing his return for the 2026 season.
