Report: Oregon expected to hire Colorado's Demetrice Martin as defensive backs coach
Dan Lanning has reportedly added another veteran coach to his Oregon staff.
Bruce Feldman of The Athletic reported Wednesday that Oregon is expected to hire Demetrice Martin as its next defensive backs coach. Martin spent the past two seasons as cornerbacks coach at Colorado.
If Martin does indeed land on Lanning’s staff, the Ducks would be adding an experienced, well-respected Pac-12 assistant.
Prior to his time in Boulder, Martin, 48, served as Arizona’s cornerbacks coach under Kevin Sumlin from 2018-19. Prior to that, he was the defensive backs coach at UCLA from 2012-2017.

From 2009-2011, Martin was the defensive backs coach at Washington under Steve Sarkisian.
A Pasadena, Calif., native, Martin played four seasons at Michigan State as a wide receiver and cornerback from 1992-1995.
Over the past 24 hours, it has been reported that the Ducks are also targeting Adrian Klemm as their offensive line coach, and Tony Tuioti as a defensive assistant.
