QUACK: Oregon Lands Offensive Line Transfer Nishad Strother
Dan Lanning has done it again. It’s clear when Oregon’s head coach feels like one of his position groups isn’t as talented or as deep as he’d like, he doesn’t hesitate to hit the transfer portal.
This time, following an official visit, former Eastern Carolina offensive lineman Nishad Strother has committed to Oregon. The 6-foot-3, 325-pounder is an experienced starter for the Pirates.
After entering the transfer portal in late April, Strother was linked heavily to Oregon immediately.

Strother is now the 14th commitment for the Ducks in the 2023 transfer portal window. He is the third offensive line commit in the transfer portal for Oregon. The Ducks also signed Junior Angilau and Ajani Cornelius in the offseason. Both were at Oregon for Spring football.
Last week we published an update predicting the next five recruits to commit to Oregon. Strother joins Gary Bryant Jr. from that list to commit to the Ducks.
