Oregon Loses Defensive Lineman to the Transfer Portal
It would appear Dan Lanning might have just lost a transfer he would likely have preferred to keep at Oregon this Spring.
Defensive lineman Ben Roberts announced on his social media his intent to enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder figured to be at worst a key part of the defensive tackle rotation this season. Oregon had been linked to some of top defensive lineman transfer names in the portal already.
Roberts had this to say in his post on social media regarding his decision.
“I am grateful for everybody that has been supporting me throughout my journey at the University of Oregon. My time has been nothing but a ble52ing. Thank you to the whole coaching staff.
After a lot of thought and prayer, it is best for me to enter the transfer portal with three years of eligibility left.”
