Trinidad Chambliss wins 2025 Conerly Trophy as Ole Miss secures it for second-straight year
The storybook season continues for Trinidad Chambliss and Ole Miss.
On Tuesday the Rebels quarterback was named the 2025 Conerly Trophy winner, naming him the top collegiate player in Mississippi this season. The honor was announced during a ceremony at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in Jackson.
Chambliss is the second-straight Ole Miss player to receive the trophy, following Jaxson Dart‘s win in 2024, and is the five Rebel to win it in the last six years. Former Delta State quarterback Patrick Shegog won it in 2023.
After taking over the starting job from Austin Simmons, who suffered an injury against Kentucky the second week of the season, Chambliss put up career numbers during his first nine starts at the Division I level.
“This award is a tribute to the hard work and commitment our team showed this year. I accept this on behalf of my teammates and coaches at Ole Miss,” Chambliss said.
