Ole Miss lands three on On3's Way-Too-Early 2026 All-America Team
The 2026 college football season is still over seven months from getting underway Ole Miss is heavily involved in to the early projections for how the year might go this Fall.
On3’s Chris Low released his Way-Too-Early 2026 All-America team on Tuesday and the Rebels were well-represented, landing three players.
Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, running back Kewan Lacy and place kicker Lucas Carniero all earned First Team All-American honors by Low.
The Ole Miss signal caller became one of the best stories of the 2025 season and finished as the Southeastern Conference’s leading passer with 3,937 yards and was seventh in the league in touchdown passes with 22.
Low putting Chambliss as the First Team quarterback is interesting as the Rebels passer is still waiting to get official news regarding his eligibility for 2026. The NCAA heard Chambliss’ appeal of its decision on a waiver and there is a February 12 hearing set to hear the motion for a preliminary injunction that would grant him another season if the judge agrees.

Lacy finished as the SEC’s second-leading rusher with 1,567 yards and behind Missouri’s Ahmad Hardy who also was named First Team running back by Low. Lacy’s 24 rushing touchdowns was second in the nation behind North Texas running back Caleb Hawkins and his 25 touchdowns.
Maybe the most clutch player of the College Football Playoff for Ole Miss was Carniero. Hitting record-setting field goals of 55 and 56 yards in the Sugar Bowl and then connecting on a 58 yard field goal in the Fiesta Bowl — a yard shy of tying that record — the Rebels place kicker is set for an encore season in Oxford.
Carniero converted 31 of 35 field goal attempts. Both totals led the nation and he finished second in the nation in scoring with 149 points. That was 25 points behind Hawkins.
