Charlotte OT PJ Wilkins commits to Ole Miss
Ole Miss hosted Charlotte transfer offensive lineman PJ Wilkins for an official visit this week and on Thursday, he committed to the Rebels. Offensive line coach John Garrison needed to address the position and he’s got one on board.
Ole Miss offered Wilkins earlier this month. He redshirted in 2023 then this season, he played in 11 games. Wilkins played 142 snaps in 2024, grading out at 62.3 in run blocking snaps.
The 6-7, 330-pound Peach State product had multiple offers in the transfer portal. The former Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy standout, who was teammates with now Ole Miss signee Da’Shawn Womack, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.
