Three-star defensive line Cameron Brickle flips from Ohio State to Maryland
COLUMBUS — Ohio State has a top five recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, but it has lost a commitment to another Big Ten school.
Three-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy defensive lineman Cameron Brickle has flipped from the Buckeyes to Maryland. Thomas is the No. 571 overall prospect and No. 63 interior defensive lineman in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Rivals ranks Thomas as the No. 95 interior defensive lineman this cycle.
Ohio State still has five offensive linemen committed in the 2026 class following Brickle’s flip. The headliner is four-star Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra defensive lineman Khary Wilder who Rivals has ranked as a five-star. Four-star Buford (Ga.) EDGE Dre Quinn committed to the Buckeyes following his official visit for the UCLA game. The former Clemson commit pairs perfectly with Wilder.
Four-star Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep defensive lineman Damari Simeon, four-star Bessemer City (Ala.) defensive lineman Emanuel Ruffin and three-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville defensive lineman Jamir Perez make up the Buckeyes interior defensive line class.
