Ohio State adds former Dartmouth offensive lineman Vasean Washington

COLUMBUS – Ohio State may finally be done adding players via the transfer portal. Dartmouth offensive lineman Vasean Washington has committed to the Buckeyes, likely complete their transfer portal haul.

Washington, a Springfield, Ohio native, made eight starts at right tackle for Dartmouth this in 2025. He played 537 snaps for the Big Green and finished with a 58.9 offensive PFF grade this season.

Overall, He has now appeared in 26 games during his college career, dating back to 2022, his first year on campus. His career-high offensive PFF grade came in 2023.

Washington is the only offensive lineman that Ohio State had added from the transfer portal this offseason. Instead, the Buckeyes elected to focus on retention along the offensive line. Ohio State retained starting left tackle Austin Sierevend, starting left guard Luke Montgomery, starting center Carson Hinzman, starting right tackle Phillip Daniels, who all could have went to the NFL. 

The addition of Vasean Washington gives Ohio State a total of 49 moves in the transfer portal now, as of the time of this writing. The program has added 17 players from the portal, while 32 have entered the portal on their way out.
