Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Fryar signed by Arizona Cardinals as undrafted free agent
COLUMBUS — Ohio State right tackle Josh Fryar has found his first stop in the NFL: the former Buckeyes starter is heading to Arizona to join offensive line coach Justin Frye, who coached him at Ohio State, and the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent.
He was one of three Buckeyes eligible to be drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft but was instead picked up as an undrafted free agent. Tight end Gee Scott Jr. and center Seth McLaughlin were the others.
Fryar started one game during the 2022 season before earning the starting right tackle job at Ohio State ahead of the 2023 season. Once he earned that starting role, he never gave it up, starting all 29 games the Buckeyes played during the last two seasons — including all 16 in the run to the national championship win this past season.
Originally a three-star prospect from Beech Grove, Indiana, Fryar developed into a dependable tackle for the Buckeyes for multiple seasons. Now he’ll have some developing to do at the next level, starting in rookie minicamp this summer. He’s heading to Arizona to begin his pro football career after a long career at Ohio State.
