Buckeyes wide receiver Bryson Rodgers entering transfer portal
COLUMBUS — Ohio State will be without one of its contributing wide receivers for the College Football Playoff.
Third-year receiver Bryson Rodgers plans to enter the transfer portal, On3 confirmed Thursday. His status with the Buckeyes for the Cotton Bowl quarterfinal is unknown, potentially ending his time with the Ohio State program.
Rodgers has six catches for 79 yards and a touchdown this season for the Buckeyes; he has 11 career catches for 125 yards and that lone touchdown for his career. The score came in the November blowout win over UCLA.

A third-year player, Rodgers entered the transfer portal following his freshman season in 2023 and nearly left the Ohio State program. But after tough conversations, he decided to stick it out for two more years and carve out a role in the offense.
He did just that this season, logging a career high in snaps played.
Rodgers ranked as the No. 358 player according to the 2023 On3 Industry Ranking. He was the No. 55 wide receiver and the No. 67 player in the state of Florida for his class.
