Commit Tracker: Several Ohio State commits shine, Jamier Brown scores a special teams touchdown

COLUMBUS – Ohio State dominated UCLA on Saturday. Additionally, multiple future Buckeyes had strong performances on Friday night as they look to lead their respective teams on post season runs.

Each week during the season, Lettermen Row will report on how each Ohio State commit and their teams perform during the 2025 football season.

Quarterbacks

Four-star Mission Viejo (Calif.) quarterback Luke Fahey was eight of 25 for 91 yards in a 20-0 loss to Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei.

Running backs

Four-star North Forney (Texas) running back Legend Bey had eight carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-7 win over Sachse (Texas). He also completed 5 of 9 passes for 85 yards and one touchdown.

2028 Four-star Tampa (Fla.) Blake running back Elijah Hall had five carries for 18 yards in a 44-6 close to Clearwater (Fla.)

Wide receivers

Five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. had one reception for six yards in a 20-0 win over Mission Viejo (Calif.).

Four-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt one reception for 22 yards in a 20-0 win over Mission Viejo (Calif.).

Four-star Southlake Carroll (Texas) wide receiver Brock Boyd had nine receptions for 101 yards and one touchdown in a 35-0 win over Crowley (Texas).

2027 Five-star Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne wide receiver Jamier Brown had six receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown in a 20-14 win over Troy (Ohio). Brown also had a 62-yard punt return touchdown.

Offensive line

Four-star offensive lineman Sam Greer and Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban beat Hudson (Ohio) 35-3.

Three-star offensive lineman Tucker Smith and Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner lost to Gilbert (Ariz.) Higley 26-17.

Three-star offensive lineman Landry Brede and Mentor (Ohio) beat Canton (Ohio) McKinley 25-24.

Three-star offensive lineman Mason Wilhelm and Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward beat Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer 38-6.

2027 four-star offensive lineman Kellen Wymer and Liberty Center (Ohio) beat Findlay (Ohio) Liberty-Benton 42-10.

Defensive line

Four-star defensive lineman Damari Simeon and Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep lost to Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep 31-17.

 Four-star defensive lineman Emanuel Ruffin and Bessemer City (Ala.) lost to Pike Road (Ala.) 28-7.

Three-star defensive lineman Jamir Perez and Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville beat Mentor (Ohio) Lake Catholic 14-3.

2028 four-star defensive lineman Jameer Whyce and Trotwood-Madison beat Harrison (Ohio) 49-0.

Linebackers

Four-star linebacker Cincere Johnson and Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville beat Mentor (Ohio) Lake Catholic 14-3.

Cornerback

Four-star Pittsburgh (Pa.) Pine-Richland cornerback Jay Timmons had six total tackles, two tackles for loss and one pass defended in a 34-24 win over Moon Township (Pa.) Moon Area.

Four-star Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic cornerback Jordan Thomas had five total tackles in a 56-14 win over Metuchen (N.J.) Saint Joseph.

Safeties

Four-star safety Blaine Bradford and Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic had an off week. Instead, Bradford and his mother were in the Shoe on Saturday for Ohio State vs. UCLA.

Four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School safety Simeon Caldwell had five total tackles and one interception in a 63-13 win over DeFuniak Springs (Fla.) Walton.

2027 four-star safety Eli Johnson and Cibolo (Texas) Steele beat Laredo (Texas) Laredo LBJ 69-14.

2027 three-star Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep athlete Angelo Smith had one total tackle in a 63-0 win over Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint John Paul II Academy

Season completed:

2027 Four-star quarterback Brady Edmunds and Huntington Beach (Calif.) finished the season 8-3.

Four-star running back Favour Akih and Delaware (Ohio) Hayes finished the season 2-8. The Ohio State commit missed most of the year with a lingering ankle injury that he suffered in the season opener.

Four-star wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford and Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop finished the season 8-3.

Four-star wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts and Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial finished the season 4-6.

Four-star interior offensive lineman Max Riley and Avon Lake (Ohio) finished the season 3-7.

2027 four-star offensive lineman Brody McNeel and Richmond (Va.) Mills Godwin finished the season 3-7.

2027 three-star offensive lineman Mason Wilt and St. Clairsville (Ohio) finished the season 8-4.

Four-star defensive lineman Khary Wilder and Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra finished the season 4-6.

Three-star defensive lineman Cameron Brickle and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy finished the season 10-0.

Four-star linebacker CJ Sanna and Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy finished the season 9-3.

Three-star linebacker Braxton Rembert and Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek finished the season 7-4.

Three-star safety Khmari Bing and Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy finished the season 7-1.
