Transfer kicker Spencer Porath delivered a perfect performance in Notre Dame’s spring “jersey scrimmage,” highlighting a special teams unit that has Marcus Freeman unusually upbeat. Porath, sophomore Erik Schmidt and Australian punter Jasper Scaife are giving the Irish depth and optimism at the kicking spots after last season’s struggles.
