Nebraska’s lefty freshman pitcher posted her second victory of the season. She allowed one hit and no runs, while striking out seven Tigers in four innings and 59 pitches. The Huskers got on the board first in the top of the third. Lauren Camenzind singled down the right-field line to lead off. With two outs, Jesse Farrell shot a ball to center field to bounce high off the wall. Camenzind scored off the double to make it 1-0.

Frahm took over in the circle for Jensen in the fifth. She retired all three Tiger batters. In the batter’s box in the next half-inning, Frahm hit a single for Bland to score from second after a hard-hit double.

Frahm gave up two singles in the sixth, but she struck out Edwards for the third out and left two on base. LSU loaded the bases with three straight hits to start the bottom of the seventh. But Nebraska’s defense and Frahm kept them off the board for the shutout. She gave up five hits and struck out four in three innings.

Bulldogs outlast Nebraska comeback

Georgia’s bats started off hot. A mixture with Husker picture struggles led to the Bulldogs scoring in the first three innings. Second baseman Kiersten Roose smashed a lead-off homer to right center to get UGA started. Shortstop Emily Digby‘s two-RBI homer in the second gave Georgia a 3-0 lead.

After a great game vs. LSU, Jensen struggled in her second start of the day. She gave up four hits, three earned runs and struck out three in two innings. Kylee Magee replaced her to start the third. The Huskers scored in three straight innings as well, starting in the third. NU had three hits for two runs in the third, featuring an RBI double by Farrell and an RBI single by Kuszak. Bland posted her second hit of the season in the fourth, cutting UGA’s lead to 6-3. She scored after being moved to third by a Hoffmann double and a sacrific fly by Malia Thoms.
