After a whirlwind of a four-day stretch, which included coaching in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight for Tennessee with a job interview for his dream job at NC State mixed in between, Justin Gainey finally had a moment to catch his breath following his Wednesday afternoon press conference.  Gainey, the former associate head coach for the Volunteers under Rick Barnes, walked off the stage on the second floor of the Lenovo Center to a breakout media session for another 10 minutes of questions. It was a chance for him to set the tone for what to expect in the coming days and weeks of the new era.  After all, he’s bringing a new excitement to the program. One that most former players can relate to as the once standout four-year Wolfpack starting point guard is now in charge of his beloved NC State.  But now that the hoopla of the introductory press conference — and the rapidly-paced coaching search — has come and gone, Gainey can get to work. And his next few days will be critical in laying the groundwork for what his first season in Raleigh will look like.
