In the hours before his first-career start, NC State redshirt freshman running back Duke Scott tried to remain calm. He knew that would be a critical piece to a successful rushing performance, which needed him to remain as patient as possible against No. 8 Georgia Tech.  Scott, a former four-star recruit out of Stockbridge (Ga.) High, relied upon redshirt sophomore tailback Hollywood Smothers for advice, which was for the second-year player to have a sense of tranquility on the field in front of a sold-out Carter-Finley Stadium filled with 56,919 raucous fans in Raleigh.
