NC State lands commitment from LB LaCorian Hodge
It didn’t take long for NC State defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot to land his first high school commitment since he took over for the Wolfpack.
Just days after the Pack’s new play-caller visited Arlington (TX) Seguin High linebacker LaCorian Hodge this week, the prep defender pledged to NC State. The unranked linebacker chose the Wolfpack over UTEP and Texas State.
Eliot, who has previously found success in recruiting the state of Texas, continued that with Hodge’s commitment. The linebacker spent the weekend in Raleigh on his official visit after he picked up an offer from the Pack on Dec. 12.

The prep recruit projects as an outside linebacker in Eliot’s system when he arrives on campus.
Hodge logged 80 total tackles, including 15 for a loss, with 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two passes defended and an interception during his senior campaign.
Hodge is the Wolfpack’s second high school linebacker in the recruiting cycle, joining three-star Terris Dudley, who NC State flipped from Toledo during the early signing period.
