Junior RB Christian Freeman stays home for college at NC State
Junior running back Christian Freeman had his life changed when NC State offered him June 5.
The first Power Four offer is always special, especially when it comes from the hometown college. The Southeast Raleigh standout didn’t take long to end his recruitment, picking the Wolfpack on Friday.
“I grew up an NC State fan since I was around 8-9 years old,” said Freeman, in a previous interview.
Freeman has nine offers thus far — NC State, Appalachian State, Charlotte, East Carolina, Liberty, Troy, Bethune-Cookman, Gardner-Webb and Kennesaw State.

Part of the allure with the 5-foot-9, 187-pound Freeman is his speed. He clocked 4.5 seconds regularly at the camps he went to in July, including NC State. Freeman also attended a couple of NC State spring practices.
Freeman broke out this fall with 72 carries for 806 yards and six touchdowns, plus 19 catches for 197 yards and a score for the 7-4 Bulldogs. He had a huge game against Wake Forest (N.C.) High, finishing with eight carries for 206 yards and two scores in a 28-0 win Sept. 6.
Southeast Raleigh also features sophomore tackle Grayson Williams, who NC State has offered, and Stanford senior commit Keysaun Eleazer, who is an edge rusher.
