Four-star SF Kamora Pruitt picks NC State in intense recruitment

Senior small forward Kamora Pruitt methodically visited her various schools, but when it came time to make a decision, NC State coach Wes Moore and the Wolfpack were the difference.

The 6-foot-2 Pruitt, who attends Dallas (Texas) Legion Prep Academy, picked NC State over finalists Arizona, Baylor, Oklahoma and Southern Methodist.

Pruitt unofficially visited NC State in July 2024, and then officially visited Sept. 5-7. Moore offered her May 22, 2024.

Pruitt’s father, George Pruitt, has been a basketball coach and trainer and played on the junior college level and at Tennessee-Martin player.

Having developed WNBA players Saniya Rivers of the Connecticut Sun and Aziaha James of the Dallas Wings also helped.

“That is vital in our decision making process,” George Pruitt previously told TheWolfpacker.com. “You see that constant development over a three- or- four-year span. To watch the kid grow and become a professional athlete is the main thing for us. She wants to go, get better and develop and ultimately become a pro.”

Pruitt took part in the Steph Curry Camp Bay Area, which featured 16 girls players. Rivals has her ranked No. 32 overall in the class of 2026.

Pruitt has high-major offers from NC State, Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Brigham Young, Cincinnati, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Penn State, Southern Methodist, Tennessee, Texas Christian, Texas Tech and UCLA.
