Pair of 2026 Mississippi State signees land in Rivals Top 75 rankings
Rivals released the final rankings for the Class of 2026 on Tuesday and it included a pair of Mississippi State signees in the Top 300.
The top-rated Bulldog signee is now four-star edge Micah Nickerson of South Pike High School. Nickerson was also one of the biggest risers in the final rankings and landed at No. 46 overall, not far from five-star status. In the previous rankings, the 6-foot-4 and 220-pound Nickerson was listed at No. 93 overall.
Nickerson now owns a rating of 97 by Rivals and is the second-highest rated player in the Magnolia State. The top rated player from the state is Tennessee signee and receiver Tristan Keys, who came in at No. 39. As a senior, Nickerson collected 59 tackles with 19 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
Mississippi State safety signee Bralan Womack also finished in the Top 75 of the Rivals Top 300 and came in at No. 73 overall. The Hartfield Academy standout also ranks No. 4 in the Magnolia State per Rivals. Womack originally committed to Auburn before flipping to State in December.

For the Bulldogs, Womack is expected to play safety but had a lot of offensive production as a senior. He ended the year with over 1,100 yards of offense and 10 touchdowns. Like Nickerson, Womack enrolled at Mississippi State earlier this month.
2026 Mississippi State signee and tight end Zayion Cotton maintained his four-star status (91 rating) per Rivals but was just outside of the Top 300.
Overall, Mississippi State’s Class of 2026 is rated No. 31 nationally by Rivals and ranks 12th in the SEC. A total of 22 of those signees have already enrolled at Mississippi State for the spring semester.
