Mississippi State WR Jordan Mosley announces transfer portal entry
Mississippi State wide receiver Jordan Mosley is hoping to try his luck elsewhere in college football.
The senior wide out announced his decision on X Sunday morning after finishing out his fourth season in Starkville.
“I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to play this game at the highest level. Thank you to the staff, my teammates, and everyone who supported me on and off the field. The lessons, memories, and relationships I’ve gained here will always stay with me,” Mosley said in his statement. “After much thought and prayer, I have decided to enter the transfer portal in search of the right fit to continue growing and pursuing the best version of myself as a player to fulfill my goals.
“I appreciate everyone who has supported me and I’m thankful for the growth this chapter has given me. Forever grateful. On to the next chapter.”
Mosley transferred to State after a season at Northwestern. He redshirted his first year on campus and then came to Starkville. After playing in just three games in 2022, Mosley has played in all 12 games of each of the last three seasons.

2024 was Mosley’s best season as he hauled in 23 catches for 405 yards and three touchdowns. This year, Mosley was hopeful to be one of the Bulldogs’ top pass catching options but was passed up on the depth chart by Ole Miss transfer Ayden Williams by late in the year. Mosley finished the season with eight catches for 168 and one touchdown. He had 36 catches for 661 yards and five scores.
A native of Mobile, Ala., Mosley played his high school ball at McGill Toolin. He was a four-star prospect ranked as the state’s No. 9 player and the No. 50 wide receiver nationally.
With Mosley already using five years of eligibility, he will have to acquire a waiver from the NCAA to get a sixth year.
