Michigan guard Jace Howard enters NCAA transfer portal, will seek sixth year of eligibility
Michigan Wolverines basketball graduate student guard Jace Howard has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 reported Monday morning. Howard just finished his fifth season with the Maize and Blue.
Howard had a fifth year of eligibility in 2024-25 due to the COVID season when he was a freshman in 2020-21. He didn’t redshirt in any of his seasons at U-M, but he did only play in five games this year with his last appearance coming Dec. 29 against Western Kentucky, so he could receive a medical redshirt.
A source close to the Michigan program has informed TheWolverine.com that Howard will seek another year of eligibility.

Howard is the son of former Michigan head coach and All-American player Juwan Howard. Juwan Howard was fired following last season, but Jace stayed on the team under new head man Dusty May.
