Michigan center Vladislav Goldin signs two-way contract with Miami Heat
Michigan Wolverines basketball center Vladislav Goldin has signed a two-way contract with the Miami Heat following the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Michigan had one draft choice this year, with fellow big man Danny Wolf, the No. 27 overall pick in the first round to the Brooklyn Nets.
The Wolverines now have 68 draft picks all time, and on Wednesday night Wolf became the 17th in the last 13 events.
The center impressed with his size at the NBA Combine in May, checking in at above seven feet tall without shoes on. His 9’3.00″ standing reach and 7’5.25″ wingspan each ranked tied fourth among all participants.
Goldin just wrapped up a stellar college career, having played in 154 games with 143 starts. He started the final 113 games of his career, including 37 with Michigan last season.
Goldin played for Texas Tech (2020-21), before transferring to Florida Atlantic (2021-24). He followed head coach Dusty May from Boca Raton to Michigan, where he concluded his career and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors.
Prior to competing collegiately, Goldin made the long trek from his hometown of Voronezh, Russia, to Connecticut, where he attended and played basketball for the Putnam Science Academy.

Goldin didn’t see his family for over five years until his parents received visas and visited him in March of 2025, allowing them the opportunity to watch his final regular-season games as a Michigan Wolverine.
Leading Michigan in scoring at 16.6 points per game, Goldin added 7 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.1 assists per night, while shooting 63.4 percent on twos (211-of-333), 33.3 percent on threes (11-of-33) and 73.1 percent at the free throw line (160-of-219). Goldin didn’t make or attempt a three in his college career until last season, debuting an expanded offensive arsenal.
Helping Florida Atlantic to the NCAA Tournament for a second-straight season, Goldin averaged 15.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest in his final year with the Owls in 2023-24. The previous campaign, Goldin was a starter and impact player on an FAU squad that made an improbable and magical run to the Final Four. He registered 10.2 points and a team-best 6.5 rebounds per tilt.
Goldin played limited minutes in only 10 games as a true freshman at Texas Tech in 2020-21, before breaking out once he got to FAU in 2021-22. The latter season, he averaged 6.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, while appearing in all 34 contests with 33 starts.
