The recruiting frenzy continues for LSU as Lane Kiffin and staff flip interior offensive lineman Ryan Miret from Ole Miss. The Miami Southridge (FL) standout had been committed to the Rebels since June, but now pledges to the Tigers with the recent staff changes.

Miret is ranked as a three-star per the Rivals Industry ranking and Miret is the No. 871 overall prospect and No. 81 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 93 recruit in the Sunshine State.

Miret’s primary recruiter at Ole Miss was offensive line coach John Garrison. It was reported earlier today that Garrison had signed a contract to stay in Oxford under head coach Pete Golding.

Miret offers flexibility on the offensive line as a player who can play both center and guard. Ole Miss won the original recruitment over in-stage program Miami and several others. The addition of Miret gives the Tigers’ class a center that it needed. LSU will attempt fill out the 2026 class around Miret, while trying to hold onto several other pledges.. Jalan Chapman left the class earlier today, along with wideout Kenny Darby.

LSU was able to pull this off without hiring an offensive line coach. The Tigers staff is beginning to fill out as Kiffin has filled out his offensive staff with the following: co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Joe Cox, wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator George McDonald, inside wideouts coach Sawyer Jordan and quarterbacks coach Dane Stevens. Offensive coordinator Charlie Weiss Jr. signed a deal with LSU yesterday, but will call plays for the Rebels for the remainder of the college football playoff.

The 2026 class for LSU is in limbo heading into Wednesday’s early signing day. Names have come and gone over the course of the day, with more changes expected. Updates will continue to roll in over at The Bengal Tiger, so stay tuned for the latest recruiting tidbits and notes.
