LSU and Lane Kiffin made one of their biggest splashes of the portal cycle on Friday night, as the Tigers landed former Colorado offensive lineman Jordan Seaton.

Seaton, who entered the portal on Jan. 12, made visits to Mississippi State and Miami before flying to Louisiana for his visit to LSU’s campus in Baton Rouge. In the days since, there was ample uncertainty as LSU and Oregon were two of the teams bidding for his commitment but in the end LSU wins out.

Kiffin and the LSU staff welcomed Seaton, where they toured the stadium, went out to dinner, and met with the entire Tigers’ staff. On Sunday evening, Seaton took to social media and shared a photo alongside Kiffin on the field in Death Valley.

On X, Kiffin shared multiple posts of his photo with Seaton in Tiger Stadium. Later Sunday evening, Kiffin followed up the shared posts on Seaton with a tiger emoji post to his X account. This is typically reserved for when a new commitment has been given to LSU’s first-year head coach. Then on Friday night, he posted the Tiger again as he had secured one of the most important commitments of this cycle.

The addition of Seaton gives LSU something they still needed heading into the 2026 season- a definite starter at left tackle. While the Tigers have built depth along all the positions on the offensive line, they were missing that true tackle that could step in and have a major impact on day one. Seaton provides that and more for a unit that will certainly have to grow into their roles. However, the addition of Seaton allows for LSU to roll into the new season with at least two spots solidified, maybe three with the recent addition of Aliou Bah (the other spot being Braelin Moore as the starting center).

The Bengal Tiger’s Matthew Brune highlighted the offensive line room earlier this week in a piece that looked at every position on the depth chart. Brune compiled this list prior to Seaton’s addition.

Projected Starters: Braelin Moore, Aliou Bah, Weston Davis, TBD

Depth: Solomon Thomas, Bo Bordelon, Brett Bordelon, JaKolby Jones, Ja’Quan Sprinkle, Will Satterwhite, Darrin Strey, Sean Thompkins, Devin Harper

Freshmen: Brysten Martinez, Ryan Miret
