WKU transfer, Louisville native Josie Gilvin visiting Kentucky WBB

There’s been too much news about players leaving Kentucky lately. How about we talk about WKU transfer Josie Gilvin, who could be an addition to next year’s squad?

A source told KSR that the 6-foot guard is taking a visit to Kentucky this weekend. She averaged 13.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game this past season, and maybe even more importantly, the Louisville native knocked down 41.3% of her three-point attempts as a junior.

Against Kentucky on December 28th, Gilvin scored 10 points on 3-7 shooting. She scored 15+ points in 12 games this season, even recording a career high 31 points as well as seven steals and six rebounds on 5-9 shooting from deep in WKU’s final regular season game against Liberty.

Gilvin attended Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville in high school. There, she won two state titles under head coach Donna Moir. After spending three years as a Lady Topper, could she wrap things up as a Wildcat?
