Olivier Sarr signs two-way deal with OKC Thunder
Olivier Sarr is celebrating the All-Star Break by getting a new, more stable job.
The former Kentucky Wildcat signed a two-way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sarr parlayed two 10-day, COVID-19 contracts into a full-time job. During that period he appeared in two games, averaging 2.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in seven minutes per contest.
“I never thought I’d be here this quick, honestly,” Sarr said after his debut. “It was a crazy 24 to 48 hours. I’m really excited and happy to be here, thankful for the opportunity that the Thunder gave me. I’m just here to contribute.”

A 6-foot-11, 238 pound center from France, Sarr spent the first three years of his collegiate basketball career at Wake Forest. He transferred to Kentucky for the 2020-21 season and averaged 10.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
Sarr sought out a spot in the NBA as an undrafted free agent. This year he has appeared in 23 games (two starts) for the Thunder’s G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue, and averaged 7.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 15.7 minutes per game. Keep on climbing, Mr. Sarr.
