5-Star PF Miikka Muurinen Eying Kentucky Visit in the Fall
Kentucky has been recruiting Miikka Muurinen since offering last summer after Peach Jam. UK has been working on getting him on campus, but that may have to wait even longer.
The 6-foot-10, 200-pound power forward from Compass Prep (Wichita, KS) told KSR+ that he’s planning to visit Kentucky in the fall. He was originally set to visit Kentucky last September, but UK moved the visit to host Caleb Wilson instead.

Miikka Muurinen’s Game
2026 five-star forward Miikka Muurinen of Compass Prep (AZ) is the nation’s No. 10 overall prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks Muurinen as the No. 15 player overall, the No. 2-ranked power forward, and the No. 2 best player in Arizona.
”In college, I see myself as a stretch four,” Muurinen told On3 in January. “I think I could handle it a little more. I haven’t really been able to handle the ball much this season at AZ Compass, but that’s something I’m looking a little more at doing in college.”
