Lynn Bowden trying out for the New Orleans Saints
After being released by the New England Patriots last month, Lynn Bowden is ready to find a new NFL home. The former Kentucky wide receiver/quarterback is trying out for the New Orleans Saints this week, reports Saints beat writer Nick Underhill. Former Indianapolis Colts wideout Keke Coutee was also spotted at today’s tryouts.
Following a standout career at Kentucky, Bowden was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the third round (No. 80 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins that September and played in 10 games with four starts, catching 28 passes for 211 yards. He also had nine rushing attempts for 32 yards.

After spending the entire 2021 season on the injured reserve, Miami released Bowden just before the 2022 season began. New England signed Bowden to its practice squad shortly after and elevated him to the active roster in Week 9 vs. the Indianapolis Colts. He played 14 snaps and was then moved to the scout team.
Bowden has been training at the Kentucky Football practice facility in recent weeks. Last week, he worked out for the Dallas Cowboys, who ultimately went with Tyron Johnson. Here’s hoping today’s workout leads to a new start in Nola.
