Kentucky receives surprise commitment from 2025 OT Jason Ekperuoh
It looked like Kentucky was done recruiting high school seniors for this cycle, but a surprise addition to the incoming freshman class announced his commitment on Friday.
Offensive tackle Jason Ekperuoh posted to social media he has committed to the Kentucky Wildcats. A 6-foot-6, 335-pound product of The Webb School (TN), Ekperuoh officially visited UK over the summer after receiving an offer in May from offensive line coach Eric Wolford, who went to visit him earlier this week.
Ekperuoh is not currently ranked by any of the major recruiting outlets. He also held offers from Maine and Tennessee Tech and was receiving interest from Vanderbilt and Eastern Kentucky before choosing UK.

With Ekperuoh in the fold, Kentucky now has 22 commits from the 2025 recruiting class. After starting his high school football career in Québec, Canada, he transferred to The Webb School in Bell Buckle, TN ahead of the 2023 season. Ekperuoh is not a walk-on and will come to UK on a scholarship.
The regular period Signing Day is Wednesday, Feb. 5, which is when Ekperuoh will be expected to put pen to paper and officially become a Wildcat.
