Josh Lindsay, a 4-star 2028 PG out of Louisville, will visit UK for Bellarmine game
One of the best high school basketball players from the Bluegrass State — regardless of class — will make a stop in Lexington this week.
According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR+, St. Xavier star Josh Lindsay will take an unofficial visit to Kentucky on Tuesday, where he’ll be in Rupp Arena to watch the Wildcats host Bellarmine (1:00 p.m. ET | SEC Network+). A 6-foot-1 point guard from the class of 2028, Lindsay is already considered a four-star talent. Rivals ranks him as the 16th-best sophomore in the entire country and the top sophomore in the state of Kentucky.
This will be Lindsay’s first visit to Kentucky. The UK coaching staff began recruiting him in the fall.
Within the state, Lindsay was already a name to know during his freshman season at St. Xavier in 2024-25. He averaged 7.4 points and two rebounds per outing playing at the varsity level. But Lindsay has since quickly established himself as one of the top prospects in the nation for his age group. He’s a member of MOKAN Elite, a team under the Nike EYBL umbrella, on the AAU circuit.

Through eight games this season, Lindsay leads top-ranked St. Xavier in scoring at 16.5 points per contest while shooting 59.3 percent from the field and a staggering 59.5 percent (22-37) from long range. The Tigers (7-1) lone loss this season came against Spire Academy (OH). He’s an excellent shooter, but also an equally impressive athlete.
Lindsay has already received offers from the likes of Auburn, Virginia Tech, and Indiana in recent months, along with offers from a handful of mid-majors. UK has yet to extend a scholarship, but the coaching staff is keeping close tabs. Other schools, such as Louisville, Arkansas, Texas Tech, and West Virginia, have also reached out. He took an unofficial visit to Louisville in late November.
Go ahead and learn Lindsay’s name now — he’s on pace to be a big-time recruit sooner rather than later.
