The final push for commitments in the 2027 high school cycle will begin this summer. June will be a monstrous month for the Kentucky football program. Will Stein‘s program will attempt to close on a bunch of targets. Another prospect has locked in a commitment date.

Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central wide receiver Jabari Watkins is down to six schools. Kentucky is a finalist along with Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Wake Forest.

Jabari Watkins is a former Nebraska commit who is almost ready to enter the decision-making process with official visits right around the corner. The wideout is the No. 332 overall player in the 2027 Rivals Industry Ranking and the No. 40 prospect in Georgia. Multiple ACC and SEC schools are battling for this receiver.

Kentucky defensive line coach Anwar Stewart made the trek to Georgia to visit Watkins in January. However, Florida State appears to be the school making a big push this spring. The Seminoles got the receiver on campus for a junior day in January, hosted him for a March visit, and have an official visit locked in for June. Louisville is the only other school with an official visit scheduled with Watkins.

UK is still looking to add multiple wide receivers in the 2026 class. Jabari Watkins is a name to monitor.
